Surrender a Reptile
Can no longer care for a reptile or small animal? We take in surrenders without judgment, and surrendering is always free. Message us with the species, rough age/size, and any health or behaviour notes, and we’ll let you know if we can help.
Asking for help is always the right call. Reptiles have complex needs, and life doesn’t always cooperate — whether it’s a move, an allergy, a change in finances, or simply more than you can manage right now. We understand. We’re a small household, not a facility, but we take rehoming seriously: every animal that comes to us is cared for properly and matched with a vetted new home. Choosing to rehome responsibly is an act of care for your animal, and we’re grateful you’re reaching out. There is no shame here — only support.

Reach Out
Fill out the surrender form below. Tell us about your animal — species, age, health, setup, and why you’re rehoming. The more detail, the better we can plan.

We Assess & Arrange Intake
We’ll review your submission and follow up to coordinate a drop-off or pick-up. We’ll confirm we can provide the right care before intake.

Rehabilitation & Health Check
Once in our care, animals are quarantined, health-checked, and given any rehabilitation they need — proper temps, nutrition, and enrichment — before being considered for adoption.

Rehomed to a Vetted Adopter
Healthy animals are listed on our adoption page and matched with screened, knowledgeable adopters. We don’t rush — we find the right fit.

Not sure if we can take your animal? Just ask — we’ll always try to point you in the right direction even if it’s outside our scope.
What to Expect & Before You Bring Them
To help us give your animal the best possible start in our care, here’s what helps most:
- Bring their setup if you can. Enclosures, hides, lighting, and heating equipment are enormously helpful — especially for animals with specific needs. Even a partial kit makes a difference.
- Share what you know about their care. Diet, feeding schedule, last shed date, favourite spots, handling history — any notes you can pass along help us provide continuity.
- Be honest about health and temperament. If they’ve had illness, injury, or vet visits, let us know. If they’re defensive or haven’t been handled much, that’s okay — we just need to know. Honesty helps us help them.
- No paperwork required. You don’t need vet records or a purchase receipt. If you have them, great — but they’re not mandatory for surrender.
